London Fashion Bazaar...

The London Fashion Bazaar was held above the East Twenty restaurant at the Olympic park. The event was organised by the beautiful fashion blogger Tanja (Instagram - @tanyesha) who has been trying to do an event like this after attending a few in Denmark and let me tell you it was a success! Many bloggers and other companies were given the chance to sell some of their pre-owned or brand new items, it was also a great opportunity to socialise and meet some pretty cool people. Here are some of the pictures I took...enjoy x

Pick 'n' Mix...

Of all the trends that have come and gone my favourite trend of all is definitely mixing prints. I don't usually have the guts to mix bold fashion trends but I've tried my hand at mixing prints a few times by maybe wearing a patterned top and a different patterned hijab. My favourite look I've tried has been stripes and florals.

Anushka Sharma pulled this look off beautifully with a striped shirt from Zara and a floral Madison skirt.

Polka dots and checks also look great together as Priyanka Chopra has proven in this cute outfit.

Rihanna looks amazing in this Stella Jean design. African tribal prints was also a big trend in 2014 and this look goes great with the blue and white striped shirt.

Despite the fact that this trend was very strong in 2014 lets not forget that the fashion Queen that is Blair Waldorf was rocking this look on Gossip Girl many years ago...Floral on floral still counts as a mixed print!

Top 5 Instagrammers...

I am completely obsessed with Instagram! Part of our human nature is to be nosy buggers and there's nothing more fun than looking at peoples lives through what they post online. I love to follow people who are entertaining, and make me smile through what they post, be it their selfies or quotes. Here is a list of my faves...

1. Hassan Al-Mosawi - The funny family man...I came across Hassans Instagram when I started following his beautiful wife Yalda pretty much when I had just made an Instagram account. His sense of humour is the best and he is the hashtag king, his hashtags about putting his daughter up for sale were probably the funniest thing on Instagram but he hasn't done those in a while so hopefully soon he'll start doing 2 for 1 deals on both his adorable daughters! I admire them as a couple and as parents so make sure you follow them both!

2. Rihanna -  The drama lover...When Rihanna quit Instagram I'm sure that upset quite a few of her fans, but now she is back in full force. She's beautiful and unlike other celebs her posts seem more natural, despite the fact that shes always looking flawless!

3. Sagal - The turban queen...I've been following Sagaleeyaa for a very long time. I love her style and most of all that she is very culturally connected and shows that through her look. I've tried many times to copy her turban styles and failed miserably.

4. Mindy Kaling - Dr Lahiri...I absolutely love Mindy, how I've only just recently discovered her on Instagram I do not know. The Mindy Project is probably one of my most favorite shows right now but I have been a fan of Mindys since her 'Kelly Kapoor' days in The Office. Shes a hilarious actor and writer and I hope The Mindy Project never ends!

5. Anne-Marie - The future queen of music... I've already mentioned my love for Anne-Marie on my Rudimental blog post but she is definitely a favorite of mine when it comes to Instagram, she even posted one of the pictures that I took at the iTunes festival on her Instagram! She's beautiful, funny not forgetting crazy talented and I can not wait for her to release her own music next year so make sure you get on the hype now!!

Top 5 Favorite looks of 2014...

I'm not a major follower of fashion but I do admire and love certain looks that I see on the red carpet or even Instagram. 2014 fashion has mostly been about people experimenting with style and moving out of their comfort one (myself included) Monochrome and nudes were also the highlights of many outfits. There are so many looks that I have loved in 2014 but here is my top 5...

1. Priyanka Chopra - In my eyes PC can do no wrong! This year she became the first ever no-white face of Guess and her style stepped up by a million percent. My favourite look of hers this year has to be her Alexander McQueen dress that she wore to the Filmfare awards. Simple yet so glamorous!

2. Ashley Madekwe - Ashley is probably one of my favourite fashion bloggers out there. Her street style has an edgy biker chic look and on the red carpet she always looks flawless. This look of hers from fashion week at Burberry is probably a style that I rock most of the time, all black everything with one bright coloured accessory which usually tends to be my hijab.

3. Anushka Sharma - While we're still at fashion week, Anushkas look in Burberry had to be one of my favourite looks of the year, I love how elegant she looks and I cant stop thinking about how that scarf would make a great hijab!

4. Suki Waterhouse - Unlike my wardrobe my list is full of Burberry. Suki is one of my favourite models and Burberrys golden girl. In this look she nailed two of the biggest trends in 2014, long coats and suits. I love the colour..I love the fringe..I love her!

5. Camila Elves - I only know Camila as the wife of my favourite actor (I think she models too?) Every time she's pictured with Matthew she always looks so modest and elegant. This dress she wore to the Oscars complements her skin tone very well and is totally hijabi friendly! Personally I think a different coloured clutch would have looked a bit better.

BONUS - Deepika Padukone has nailed every single thing she has worn this year!! She's beautiful talented and have I mentioned beautiful? Picking a favourite outfit of hers has been really hard because every time shes has been in public this year she has looked flawless! This lengha style dress has to be one of the best look of hers this year!

Henna loving...

All of a sudden there has been a weird obsession with henna, don't get me wrong it's pretty and everything but it's been around for centuries and culturally for me the only time you get your henna done is for weddings. I remember a few years ago I visited my mum in Dubai and got black henna done in this dodgy salon on top of a tall building where I had to sit in a dark room and stick my arms into two black holes in the wall, that seriously freaked me out and I also ended up being allergic to it. Black henna has been branded unsafe as it contains a substance called PPD which is very harmful to our skin...so as much as it looks pretty, stick to the poo coloured stuff! I'm loving some of the designs I've been seeing on my Instagram lately so here are some of my favorites, Ive added their Instagram names so make sure you check them out!

Dealing with stress...

I tend to try and keep my life stress free purely because I like to keep myself happy and content...but of course as we know life always has a different plan for us. I'm currently in my final year of university and probably facing the biggest stresses of my life so far. So I thought I'd share with you ways in which you can try and de-stress (is that even a word??) your life.

Tip number 1 - Prioritise...

Make a list mentally or write it down. Especially if you are a student, making lists really helps you to focus on what needs to be done soon and what can be done later. Try your best not to do half of something then move on to the next one, focus on finishing one task after the other.

Tip number 2 - Talk to someone...

I always find this helpful because we're only human and we don't always make the right decisions. Talking to someone helps to lift a bit of the weight that you feel on your shoulders, whether the person is going through what you are or not someone else could see the situation differently and advice you on things that you probably didn't even think of.

Tip number 3 - Exercise...

Now this is one thing I know absolutely nothing about! Close friend and fellow blogger Nat London told me to add this to my tips.  When you exercise your body releases endorphins that make you feel good and reduces your stress levels. If exercise is your thing then go for it but in my case no thank you!

Tip number 4 - Take a break...

Go out, stay in, watch TV, listen to music...whatever floats your boat. Step away from whatever is causing you stress and clear your head, its easier said than done but it really helps. When you're ready and you go back to whatever that's causing you stress you might see it in a completely different way and things might seem simpler than they were before.

Tip number 5 - Ignore it...

Now this might not sound like the best advise but it's the one thing I mostly do. Granted you can't run away from your problems forever but ignoring them for a bit helps to make you feel less stressed, eventually you would have to go back and face them but just say whatever for a bit and go out and have fun. Or you can do what I always do and take a nap!
